Dr. Laura Cincotti

Biography

Dr. Laura Cincotti, a native of Philadelphia, PA (yes, she loves soft pretzels and water ice), joined Animal Hospital of Dauphin County in 2022.  She attended Frostburg State University for her master’s degree in Wildlife Biology and then worked in the non-profit sector of conservation for several years before deciding to pursue her true calling as a Veterinarian. 

She continued her education at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During this time, she did several externships which included the Penn Vet Working Dog Center, a feline-only practice, the Wildlife Center of Virginia, and the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute.
Dr. Cincotti has interests in feline and canine medicine, dentistry, exotics (just small mammals for now), and palliative/hospice care. She is a member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association and has their Cat Friendly Veterinarian certification. She is also a member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. Dr. Cincotti is Fear Free Certified to ensure that all pets get the care they need regardless of how nervous or stressed they may be.

In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like kayaking and swimming, watching sci- fi/action movies, eating desserts, and spending time with her husband caring for their three kitties, Lucy, Silas, Tigresa, and a school of fish.
