Dr. Sarsfield and the Clinical Trials Team have been participating in FDA clinical trials for over 7 years.

The Animal Hospital of Dauphin County’s dedicated staff along with our clients and their companions have contributed to Veterinary Science by participating in clinical trials.

Clinical trials are a type of research that studies new treatments for dogs and cats. The Animal Hospital of Dauphin County participates in clinical trials that are going through the later phases of studies. The purpose of clinical research is to develop knowledge and treatments that improve animal health. Some studies provide access to cutting-edge research treatments that are not yet available to the general public.

Many trials provide free physical exams, bloodwork and medications. Owners who participate are expected to comply with study requirements such as bringing their pet in for study visits at specified times and may be asked to complete owner log books.

I have been bringing my cats to this veterinary clinic for several years. The veterinarians are generally amiable, well-informed, and, for the most part, do not attempt to persuade me to purchase unnecessary services. When I required immediate appointments, they accommodated me as soon as possible. Additionally, they have prescribed medications without requiring an in-person consultation with the veterinarian, which is greatly appreciated. It's worth noting that they accept CareCredit as a payment option. However, parking can be limited at times, and it can be challenging to exit the premises during rush hour. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone seeking a reliable and professional veterinary service.
