Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Austin grew up just 45 minutes west of Boston. She completed her undergraduate studies at UMass Amherst, where she developed hands-on experience working with cows, sheep, and goats while earning her pre-veterinary medicine degree. She went on to earn her DVM degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2022.
During her fourth year of clinical rotations, Dr. Austin completed a one-month rotation at Animal Hospital of Dauphin County, where her experience was so positive that she decided to join the team full-time. Her professional interests include small animal and exotic medicine, as well as soft tissue surgery.
In her free time, she’s an avid traveler and dedicated sports fan, especially when it comes to hockey — Go Bruins! Dr. Austin currently shares her life with her beloved golden retriever, Gertie, who you may be lucky enough to meet at the hospital.
